Welcome to our "open all hours" Gallery - exhibiting Robert Little’s photography, particularly of Malmesbury, the Cotswold area and much further afield including the wider UK, Europe, Thailand and North America.
My interests lie in landscapes and cityscapes and urban decay. I dislike photographing vistas that include cars or people unless they are an integral part of the composition.
I have taken a particular interest in the nearby town of Malmesbury; reputed to be the “oldest borough in England”, having received its' Charter in the year 880 from King Alfred the Great. It has a magnificent 1000 year old Benedictine Abbey, built by the Normans, and, adjacent to the Abbey, a famous hostelry, the Old Bell Hotel which is said to have been accommodating “tourists” for 800 years!
Whilst officially lying just outside of the Cotswolds, Malmesbury is a picturesque hill top town with traditional stone built houses actually (typically Cotswold) and is almost surrounded by rivers. The best way to enjoy Malmesbury is through its beauty and ambiance as a “real” town, with lots of interest for visitors, but are not overburdened with antique shops and the like!
I accept commissions to photograph specific vistas, buildings, products and even pets on a corporate or private basis. I can undertake work for brochures or websites including inside shots and product photography.
Finally we are specialists in Image Manipulation – repairing, enhancing, changing images – adding people in, taking cars out, dealing with scratches and repairs etc – nowadays photographs can “lie” and the "impossible" is often possible.
